Back in 1967, Raymond and Beatrice Foucher opened a small furniture store just outside the Grosse Pointe area on Warren Avenue.  Five years later, with the help of sons Keith and Dane, the store was relocated to Van Dyke just north of 26 Mile Road in Washington Twp., and renamed “Hampton House”.

Today, some 30 years later, Hampton House has expanded six times…taking up the better part of an entire city block.  Featuring one of this area’s finest collections of traditional and transitional quality home furnishings, Hampton House has succeeded where others have not.

OUR CONCEPT

Over the years, many furniture stores have lost sight of some basic concepts of customer satisfaction.  Promoted by several manufacturers, these stores have latched on to “Program Selling” via the “Gallery” approach.  Consequently, the same old things are shown in store after store after store. Hampton House has defined its showroom as a unique collection of different items shown in an “Eclectic” fashion.  The result is exciting new ideas inspiring even the most savvy of decorators.  And, with our professional design staff to assist, new and creative solutions to your decorating dilemmas can easily be found.

Any organization is only as good as its people.  That’s why we have assembled a staff of professionals, here at Hampton House that is second to none.  From your very first visit right on through delivery and any subsequent service, our sales, office, and delivery people are dedicated to your satisfaction.  And, since most of our people have been in the business for 15 years or more, they have the knowledge and experience to deliver it to you.

OUR QUALITY

As costs have risen over the years, many stores have cheapened their product lineup going to veneered products instead of using solid woods, and using other construction techniques rather than the best 8-way hand tied construction in upholstery. NOT at Hampton House!!!  When our trucks roll down the street, people know that there’s Quality Furniture inside.  We have kept our quality manufacturers, choosing instead to work on lower mark ups, giving our customers the best VALUE anywhere.
